Nice to meet you! My name is Yu Ting Cheng, also Tina. I’m a freelance illustrator from Taiwan.
My work is deeply influenced by my childhood experiences, particularly my time spent at my great-grandfather’s private zoo. There, I was surrounded by fascinating creatures—crocodiles, peacocks, parrots, countless dogs, and cats. These early "everyday adventures" sparked my love for storytelling and continue to inspire my art today. I am drawn to the magic in life's ordinary moments and seek to capture them through illustration.
I earned my M.F.A. in Computer Art from the School of Visual Arts in New York in 2016. My professional journey so far includes working as a 2D animation assistant at Bill Plympton Studio in New York in 2015, and serving as an assistant instructor in stop-motion, animation, and watercolor techniques at the Taipei Contemporary Art Association in 2013.
I’m currently open to freelance illustration opportunities. Feel free to reach out to me with any inquiries at yutinacheng@gmail.com
